Merging Partitions into one

i have a 80gb hard drive with 3 seperate partitions

1. Vista partition
2. Empty partition
3. XP partition

now what i want to do is merge the empty partition into the XP partition with paragon partition manager but i can't figure out how.

can anyone help me?

Hi,
The Merge Partitions Wizard enables to consolidate the disk space, which originally belongs to two adjacent partitions, into a single, larger partition. The order, in which two partitions have been chosen, is important since the contents of the second selected partition will be placed in the folder of the first selected partition.

So, if you have 3 partitions and that the partition you want to delete is the one in the middle, there should not be any problem as it is adjacent to the 2 others.
Resize your empty partition to 0 and specify the size of free space before or after the partition depending which other partition you want to increase the size, then you ask to increase the partition to the XP one, you delete your empty partition and apply the changes.

You can also do that with Vista Disk Management, just do a good defrag, and then you can merge the XP and the empty partition into one.
