Using Vista premium home 32 bit . Browser Mozilla Firefox. My problem is that every time i click a link to open it I get the message"windows cannot open (such and such file) please make sure you typed it correctly etc. but right after that the link displays. It is terribly annoying. Does anyone have a solution to fix this problem :mad:

I just set IE as my default browser and I did not get that message. I am guessing it must be a fault in Firefox. I rather use Firefox as it is not so buggy but I am using IE7. What experience have you had with each?

Firefox 3 RC1 works flawless here.

Try a reinstall, but go over to Tweakguides to read how to perfectly uninstall all of Firefox.

Mozilla does not like much of my secured sites. I only have it on my Fedora 7 web server, www.SCSIraidGURU.com. I use IE7 and it works great. I do move the temp files to another partition. I have not had many issues with it lately. Older web sites can be flaky on it.

I must say, fixing Firefox seems to be quite a chore. I may just continue using IE7. However I hate anything not right on my computer. So Given plenty of time I may try and fix Firefox. Thsnk you all for your help. I will let you know if and when I get around to fixing it. Or trying to fix it that is.:)
