Window explorer hang

Hei all i'm having a problem with my window explorer it's like when i go thru my computer, document, music, etc. My explorer sometime will just hang there and when i check the task manager the explorer eat up the speed of it up the CPU to 90. Then i cannot use the explorer it just hang there i cannot do anything unless i untask it and run it again but that is so troublesome. Any1 with a solution to this?

Ermmm i'm super new here so u need to tell me what do u mean by domain? I'm such a newbie and got this problem so i wanted to look around to ask and i found this website a good forum to ask

What do u mean by that u haven't say. Please any suggestion i need help in this problem it's being bugging me a lot lately.

When you open these folders what are the contents explorer its trying to load?

Hmm it's trying to load the normal stuff like when u go into program files it load the file to go in. I can't get it to go in, it just hang there for like loading loading then i see the CPU in task manager it rises like mad like up to almost max somewhere around 80 to 100 like that. I really need help. Please.

Yeah i did install an anti-virus. It's not so good but alright only.

Jerry, you'll need to be more specific with your answers - For example, Norton Products are notorious for causing certain kinds of problems, whereas another product can be notorious for causing other kinds of problems, and so on - the more info you give the easier it becomes to troubleshoot your machine.

Remember - we;'re not there sitting at the machine, so we need every piece of detail because, as you said, you're new to this, so you won't have any idea what *is* and what is *not* important.

John is Right...

I want to know what anti-virus you have installed because it could be causing the problem and because Im not physically at the machine I cant tell whats going on...SO we will be asking many questions from you about your machine and settings and trial some options to help you try fix the problem.

Hmmm I'm using AVG anti virus free trail cuz i'm still a student so i dun have the money to buy a good anti virus. What other things u wana know. There is also 1 more problem going on with my computer it's like the free space is getting lesser and lesser. I only got this computer for like 1 and a half month. Should i reformat it or should i leave it?
