| x64 | Color Management Problems I just recently upgraded my XP system to a Vista 64 bit system. I print digital photos using Adobe Lightroom 1.4. With my XP system, I had a good match between my calibrated monitor (NEC 2690) and my printer (HP B9180) working in the ProPhoto RGB color space. I use ICC profiles and let the Lightroom application manage the color. With Vista, I've lost my match. Skin tones look great on my monitor and now print with a red tint. A blue sky prints with a purple cast. I tried Lightroom Beta 2 (64 bit software) but no difference. I played with some advanced settings in Vista's Color Management without success. I'm using NEC's SpectraView II calibration software which is 64 bit compatible. The graphics card that came with the computer is a NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT. Thanks in advance for any help. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Color Management Problems Have you tried removing the NEC software/drivers? What happened to me when I first installed vista, in photoshop, white would look egg yellow (even in vista's default image viewer but not desktop/any other program) and Photoshop would alert me that the Samsung ICC wasn't compatible (which didnt happen in xp) so I uninstalled the Samsung program/drivers changed to using Adobe RGB ICC and everything looks fine now. But I'm going to change to sRGB when I get my other problems fixed.. I didn't try print anything when I saw the yellow though. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 MAK, OpenSolaris 5, Gentoo 2008.1.... | Re: Color Management Problems *I* am not sure what it does, as I don't have your printer- however, in the past I have used similar utilities with older HP printers to troubleshoot both connection issues and printing issues. Is it possible that the profiles under Vista are completely different? I know you're using the ICC profiles, but did you read the documentation to see if there is anything specific to do when you're on a Vista machine versus on a non-Vista machine? Mind you, I am making suggestions only, as I have 2 printers, both of which work perfectly on Vista, but I never change anything from the default settings in terms of the profiles to make it work.... |

| x64 | Re: Color Management Problems I downloaded the utility program and it gave me a clean bill of health. I'll try to find more information about the ICC profiles. Thanks for the suggestion. |
