How to fix aero problem

Just wondering if there is a fix for this. I have aero on but when I go to the " windows color and appearence " then click on " Open classic appearence properties for more color options " . I click on Windows Aero and the view doesn't change it shows the windows basic view not the aero view.

Re: How to fix areo probelm

Hi VistaKing,

When you are in the Windows Color and Appearence window, check to see if you have Transparency enabled or not, if you have a color selected other than the blue, and if the Color Intensity is set to low to the left, or high to the right.

Color Scheme

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: How to fix areo probelm

Micro$oft Help Center:
Some older programs might be incompatible with Aero.
When you run the program, Aero might stop working for as long as the program is running.
Closing the program should restore Aero.
Does it help ?

Re: How to fix areo probelm

Possible reasons:

Are the colors setup at 32 bits? (display options)
QuickTime: stop lauching all quicktime processes at startup or deinstall it. (quicktimeStart problem)

Sidney1st,
No quicktime processes are running and I believe the colors are 32 bits. All Of my WINDOWS windows are in aero view but when I go to windows color and appearence and then go to the classic view and I highlight Windows Aero the picture on the top doesn't change its view it stays in Windows Basic .

Re: How to fix areo probelm

VistaKing,

I would doublecheck to make sure that Colors is set as 32 bit in Display Settings. That would cause your problem as well.

Screen Resolution

The example windows at the top of the Appearance Settings window will not change. They will look the same for Windows Aero and Windows Vista Basic for here only.
