Falling into a deep "sleep" at shutdown

My shutdown screen defaults to sleep.If I don't manually hit turn off computer or accidentally hit sleep Vista shuts down in sleep mode and will not start up until I have taken the battery our and re-inserted it. :shock:

I have a Sony Viao VGN-FZ240E Core 2 T7250-4gigs RAM

And yeah, I had a buddy in Atlanta who went by the nick Scooby Specialist - I didn't really know the Scoobies at the time and had to ask - but now I do ;P

He ended up getting the WRX Sedan (non STI) and then modifying it a bit himself, mostly bolt ons - TANABE exhaust, some other stuff under the hood...

I am not sure what the culprit was. I downloaded SP1 and it cleared up. It may have been a Viao conflict that was resolved with SP1 and Viao updates. Maybe I am just not good enough to know for sure LOL....most likely.

Yes I am in Atl. I have a 2002 WRX currently putting down 300 AWD/HP to the pavement. Pretty mild compared to the big HP guys but I love it :)
