Permission rights problem

After attempting to install SP1 for Vista Home Premium which came preinstalled on this HP Desktop. It's a home system that only I use. I can not access anything that requires admn rights. I get the folllowing message:"The account specified for this service is different from the account specified for other services runing in the same process". Short of reinstalling Vista I am at a loss.
