You say you've tried; Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> "Put Computer to Sleep: "Never"" and BIOS options? In that case, try this; Disable Hybrid Sleep Mode in Windows Vista |

Is this possible that temperature has something to do with? I have a thinkpad t61 and it gets hot when i stick it in the corner of my desk hence vents blocked. or when I used on the couch. it get really really hot and it sleep right after i turn back on from sleep. |

If you have sleep and hybrid sleep and hibernate turned off, and you know your battery is okay [or this also happens when you're plugged in], I would say then that it may well be a heat issue. In that case, there's not really a whole lot you can do. Obviously keep the case well ventilated [you could look into one of those 'lap coolers' or whatever they are] or look for fan-related BIOS options [to keep the fan on maximum speed]. Edit: if you can't keep the vent clear of obstruction, this is what i mean by a lap cooler http://www.quadcooler.com/ or something like that. |
