Enable Korean Input on Vista Home Basic

I bought I guess OEM version from Fry's for PC Builders. Vistat Home Basic. Tried to enable international input - Korean and Japanese and it is not aval. research yields no international option on home basic. only avail in Ulitmate of business uggg... damn Microsoft

1) Can you upgrade from Basic Home to Ultimate.
2) Which version has international option built in.
3) Why does Microsoft do that.

So all international Vista is Ultimate and up??

Hello,
The link shown below uses Chinese language as example, but the basic procedures should be the same. Just find Korea instead of Chinese.

Re: Enable Korean Input on Vista Home Basic

I think I was there but even after I click on the language choice OK button was grayed out. I recall on XP you needed to re-inssert the WinXP disc to install the language options..

No, no. You miss one step. You did not complete the choice, that's why the OK button was grayed out. See screenshot link below and you'll know what I mean.
