Power calibration error in my dvd writer.

Hello All,

can anyone help me to solve this error.

i m getting power calibration error when writing dvd with nero.

but i m still able to read cd/dvds.

i have formated and installed new vista but the problem remains,

Hi,
It could come from:
Old firmware
Bad support (very cheap dvd medias)
DVD writer dying

Could you attach the nero log so that we can check exactly what's going wrong.
Is your writer configured as slave?
What is the Nero version?
Anyway, the log will give us all necessary infos

i have write one diff. dvd from writer and it works perfectly. but some media still gives "power calibration error "

Apparentely it is a media error.
To verify, just burn your DVD on a dvd-rw.
Always burn at half of the max speed of your burner.
Choose medias more like TY labels.
