The little blue circle start button, i want to change the color of that to green instead of blue, and the taskbar i want to change to a silver, like how it was in the XP Theme "Silver", i've read elsewhere that there is no XP Theme which i dont want, i just want to change the colors to green and silver, not blue and black, is there anyway i can do this?

You eventually can have a problem if done on a bad way (easy to do it a bad way), you have to be expert to do it yourself and of course save the resources before any modifications.
But Sorry i do not know how to do it another way as the colors and images are within the theme in the resources folder, you can surely find some progs doing it on the web, did you google for it?

There are a lot of ways, but it can't be done by Vista itself. Sorry.

Hi,

The task bar is relatively easy - right click on the desktop and select 'Personalize' followed by 'Window Color and Appearance'. Follow the instructions given. To customize your start orb, you need a 3rd party solution. One of the better known products is 'WindowBlinds' from Stardock (link given below). Please note that I haven't tried this program, so there is no guarantee that it will do what you want. I also recommend that you study the documentation carefully before using it. Be aware that this program will involve editing some system files, so you should create a restore point before you start and that you use this program at your own risk.

I never used one of those programs (I like the blue orb). But my brother wanted his Orb white and I gave him this link:

Vista Start Orb - Color Pack by ~SLiMspaceman on deviantART

All the orbs in all colors! You have to download a start docklet with ObjectDock to insert them in the taskbar :)

OK, i thought you were talking about changing the image by your own, without the help of a prog.... This still makes only one way to change the start button :)
