| Vista Home | Download\Documents Regenerates Itself I have read many of the articles on duplicating folders, but cannot figure out the answer to my problem. In Windows Explorer, I show two "Documents" folders under %USERNAME%. One is coming from %USERNAME%\Download\Documents, but shows up directly under %USERNAME%. I delete it (from Windows Explorer, from Total Commander, from CMD, etc.) and it always comes back. How do I remove it or get it to stop showing directly under %USERNAME%? Thank you, Keith |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Download\Documents Regenerates Itself Hi Keith, Welcome to Vista Forums. Check with Option Two in this tutorial to make sure that the default location is set correctly in the registry for the Documents folder. It is listed as Personal in the registry instead. Personal User Folder - Restore Missing Folder Afterwards, see if you can delete the one under just the %USERNAME% location for good. Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Vista Home | Re: Download\Documents Regenerates Itself Thank you for your help. The shell ersonal command showed that Vista was locating the Documents folder under Downloads (don't know how it got there). I had created one of my own at the %UserName% level, named it Documents and even put the right desktop.ini in it!So I fixed the registry entry, so that it points to %UserName%\Documents, deleted the one under Downloads and it does not come back. Everything is correct. Thanks so much for your help. |
