Problems with DPI, resolution, etc

My Vista is about 10 days old and I've gotten into some problems. I tried changing the dpi to 150%, but it changed to 192% and I cant' get it back down. The 'apply' button is beneath the taskbar and not reachable!

Same with the resolution--I made it less, but it is too fuzzy. However, can't get it back because 'OK' button isn't accessible.

In Word, I've lost the regular 'save as' format and it takes me to some screen that won't work.

Please help and thanks. Z

I've had a similar issue. My HP Updates window, when it popped up after changing my DPI, the text came up off to the side and I couldn't see the OK and Cancel options.
Anyway, I looked around and I can't find any other way to change the DPI other than that window so what you could do is when you're on the window, just hit Tab and try your best to guess which option you're on and then hit Enter. Seems a little silly but it should work lol

Hey, Dudeman, that worked. I'd already tried all of the right click on personalize and like you found--I couldn't access the OK or Apply. I finally just hit Enter and it changed the DPI--then it was easy to do the resolution.

Is this the place for a Word question? SOmehow, when I go to CntlS, instead of the normal Save format--it takes me to a screen entitled Save As; toolbar says computer>OS>Users>Janet>Documents. Then it prompts a File Name, with Save as Type underneath it. Then, Authors; tags; title; subject;manager;company;categories;comments.
I can save there, but it's a lot of trouble. How do I get back to the regular Save As screen?? Thanks again to all.

Next time you get an issue like this where you can't se the Apply button, try pressing <ALT>+<A>. That is the usual hotkey for Apply...

Hi Zanderthecat

That "is" the normal Save As window for Word 2007. You don't need to add anything in all those other fields and it should default as a Word Document (.docx) so all you really need to do is name it and change the directory you want to save it into if you want.
Once you have named and saved a document, the next time you have it opened, the Ctrl+S keystroke will now do a Save instead of Save As, and it does it without closing the doc.
As usual with anything in Word, even the Save As screen can be complicated with all the options it can give you, but us normal folk rarely need all that outside of a Business environment.
