Couple of Vista Questions

1. I looked for a aswser for this and I know there are several Post and don't have time to read all of them tell I find answer.
I am getting a Red X on some web page where images are suppose to be.
Not sure what I need to set under tool internet Security.

2. I have a forum I go to and it does not show the tool bar for links, pics, and ect like this one. It use too? is this a vista issue?

Example 1 A RunTime Error has ocurred. Do you wish to debug? Line:275 Error: 'Menu' is undefined
Example 2 A RunTime Error has ocurred. Do you wish to debug? Line 3 Error: Syntax error
Example 3 A RunTime Error has ocurred. Do you wish to debug? Line 525 Error:Object expected

ok 3rd Question I go to :: Racer X Illustrated Online — Motocross and Supercross :: I get a bunch of Debug error messages.
Example 1 A RunTime Error has ocurred. Do you wish to debug? Line:275 Error: 'Menu' is undefined

What add-ons and extensions to you have installed for Internet Explorer?

In the meantime, try resetting Internet Explorer to the defaults like this:
  1. Click "Tools", then select "Internet Options"
  2. Click on "Advanced"
  3. Click on "Reset"
  4. Read the information given, and if you are sure you want to proceed, click "Reset" again.
Report back if the problem with the "Red X" goes away. The "Red X" error is typically there to tell you that a specified image could not be loaded. These could mean any number of things, but are typically a fault in the design of a webpage, or Internet Explorer has been told to not load images.

Also, another to try would be to install another browser such as Firefox 3. Restoring the defaults might help bring the security levels back to a normal state as well. If you go to
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > under Multimedia there is a show pictures, make sure thats checked.

There is also a restore advanced defaults there that would hurt to hit.

Re: Couple of Vista Questions

The red x also might be java related. Do you have java installed on your pc? you may want to download the latest version.

I went to www.racerx.com and IE7 did give be a script error, but it didn't ask to debug. Perhaps if you disable script debugging you can at least get rid of that annoying popup?
  1. Click "Tools", then "Internet Options"
  2. Click "Advanced"
  3. Add a check to the "Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer" option under Browsing
  4. Click OK
ie_script_debug.jpg

Does that help?

At the very least, if you're inclined to do so, send an email to the www.raxerx.com webmaster, and inform them that whatever scripting their site is using, there are some bugs with it that are causing errors with Internet Explorer...

I sure hope you can help me with a urgent problem. I keep getting the kiss of Death Blue Screen. Here are the numbers I am getting. I have ran a couple of memory checkers and no issues.
