| Senior Member ![]() Rep Power: 15 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Change print screen function Does anyone know how to hack the print screen function so that instead of saving the image to clipboard, it saves it to the temp folder? My boss asked if it was possible, he dont want one of those apps u find on the net coz his laptops got enough garbage running already & the ram can barely take anymore. I assumed what id need would be somewhere in the registry but i cant for the life of me think where. |

The 'PrtScn' key takes a snapshot of what is on your screen when you press it and saves the resulting data to the clipboard. Think of it as selecting a block of text to copy - when you press 'Ctrl'+'C' you aren't asked for a filename. This function is similar except that it copies the WHOLE image on the screen to the clipboard. Only when you paste the contents of the clipboard into an application such as 'Notepad' or 'Paint' can you save it. Dwarf |
