I just put together a new system:
Intel E7200 2.53Ghz 3MB L2
Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L Motherboard
4GB DDR2-800 SuperTalent Memory (2x2GB, dual channel)
Seagate 500GB 7200 32mb SATA2 HD
EVGA 8800GT 512MB Superclocked Edition
Ultra 550-watt PSU
Vista Ultimate x64
I was prepared to be fairly impressed over the performance of my P4 2.8Ghz system, and though the system is fast enough to install programs, etc., I just got around to running some benchmarks and it seems to be coming up short. For example, I ran the 3DMark Vantage benchmark and got the following scores:
P4269 3DMarks
CPU Score 4215
Graphics Score 4288
Has anyone else run this benchmark on a similar system? Is there something wrong with my setup?
