Dual boot question

I currently have Vista x64 Ultimate installed, and I'm using this tutorial I found on the internet (link) to make a partition and dual boot XP with Vista. There's only one question that the tutorial could not answer for me, so I'm hoping you guys could . Is it alright if I have dual boot with Vista 64-bit and XP 32-bit? Will there be any conflicts between a 32-bit OS and a 64-bit OS?

Re: Dual boot question

You should be fine. In fact, I'm using the exact combination right now. I have XP Pro 32bit and Vista Ultimate x64 SP1. I've never noticed a problem between the two.

None whatsoever.... Just make sure you fix Boot.ini file because for some reason XP tends to destroy Vistas boot loader...

Oh yes! Since you've already installed Vista,When you install Xp it will overwrite the Vista bootloader and you'll have only XP.But you can get Vista back by booting frm the Vista DVD and reinstalling the bootloader.you can then dual boot XP 32 and Vista 64.

Theres are many detailed Tutorials available on this, search.

Hello Perkins!

If you intend to use "System Restore" in Vista you may want to have a look at this.
