Mouse problem

I'm having a minor problem Its more annoying then anything. My mouse cursor seems to have mind of it own. I will be using it and it just goes to one or another corner of the page for no apparent reason. I've tried cleaning it etc. This started after I installed Vista home premium. Any help would be appreciated.

When you don't give us all the required info on your system and the device you're having a problem with, anything we say is pure guesswork.

What system?
What brand and type of mouse?
Ball type, or Optical,,,,, wired or wireless?

Curious minds want to know!
