USB Legacy Support bugged?

Hi guys

I have a Logitech G15 V1, great keyboard and in use since end 2007.

But there is an annoying bug that I can't seem to fix.

When I for example have to press DEL to get in the BIOS menu, he doesn't respond, it's that I can't skip or 'Press button to load from CD' while I'm in boot, I went into the BIOS and I set USB Legacy Support to Enable, when it didn't work I just put it back on Automatic.

Can someone help me?

- Axon

Have u got a different usb keyboard u can try? If so plug it into the same usb port & see if it works. This will tell u if the board is to blame, or the keyboard.

My massive wifi antenna is in the post!
Nope, I just put in my old G11, same thing
But when I put in a PS2 board, it works, I don't really think it's the motherboard.

Have you tried any other key? Perhaps your KBs' DEL keys are being remapped for some odd reason....

Do the 3 leds flash once when the computer is turned on?
Is the num lock indicator on when it is booting?

This will indicate if there is power going to the keyboard while the computer is in the post phase of booting.

Sounds like you will have to buy a cheap ps2 keyboard to get into the bios (which is not a bad security thing).

Wait - where are you KB and mouse plugged in, into a USB hub? That might not be working until Vista starts to load....

Even front ports on a computer may not be getting the same power pre-boot as rear ports - so knowing *where* these things are plugged in at makes a difference....

No, they are plugged in at the rear, but the weird thing is that my mouse does react, LED lights start to burn.

BTW, cool new Vista Guru rank.
