Vista development problems - please help!

Dear All,

I have recently developed a piece of acupuncture training software using Macromedia Director MX 2004. I tested it on all platforms, and didn't get problems at the time. However, I obviously didn't test it on Vista long enough, as several Vista users have reported it hanging at random times. I have since tested it again, and indeed got the same problems (XP users don't seem to have these issues). I have experimented with changing the compatibility mode to XP SP2, but this doesn't cure the problem (although it might reduce the crashes slightly). I have checked the Problem report - please see below. Any help and advice on solving this would be hugely appreciated.

Regards,

Tom.

Thanks for the stab, but yes I have this update. There is a new version of Director, but I am told by people in the know that this is unlikely to fix Vista problems and that the version I have should work...

Might try going to SP1 instead of RTM, see if that helps your problem.

Hi TomZK,

Vista Service Pack 1 should help resolve these issues as Shao128 mentioned ;)
