Installing Vista on a Mac

I am upgrading to Mac as part of my business, however, I need to install a win OS so that I can communicate with my office SBS 2003.

I would like to use an upgrade product such as XP Pro Upgrade, but the MAC won't install the upgrade, it needs a full version.

I only need the Win OS to run some applications and to VPN into the office, and I need to put it on two machines, so installing full version of XP pro or Vista would be expensive for only part time use.

I would like to know if I installed Vista Home if this would allow me to VPN into SBS 2003, run apps such as Office 2003 and Adobe CS3.

Thanks

Whats the matter with OEM, Home Premium is cheap enough, £60-70

Office and Adobe both compatible.

Or you could set up a virtual machine on your Mac (if there's software available).

XP pro upgrade would either have a qualifying Windows version installed to upgrade from or find an installation disk that meets the criteria.

I have no experiance with VPN's. However, that might be one of the things that Business or Ultimate might be required for.

Thanks for the replies. I think I am going to have to purchase a retail version of XP Pro. Vista, from what I have discovered, will take a lot of diskspace, more so than XP that I am use to.
