Hi ! Recently I have bought Vista Home Premium x64 and to be honest I am having quite annoying issue with this OS . I had installed Vista on RAID0 partition. Additionally I have three other sata drives for my data . I noticed that from time to time when I am working on vista , system freeze for 2-3 sec then everything is fine and I can continue work. Particulary when for example I am opening some application or even windows explorer , my computer etc. (when it hangs I can't move my mouse) . Moreover when it freeze I "hear" something inside my computer case as if my computer weak up from hibernation. :(

PS. (I have 4gb ram , no issues in event manager , disabled pagefile)
If anyone know solution to these prob I 'd be grateful for your help.
I hope you understand my Eng .

Thanks

Have you looked at your power settings to see if the drive is set to turn off to conserve power after a set time?

After doing this, turn your page file back on. Initial/Max size of 1024MB.

It was set to turn off HDD after 45min . Now I have changed it to 0 . Could it be reasponsible for this freezing ??

I noticed he had his page file off. However, I didnt figure that was causing the issue he was complaining about. I agree, it is a good idea to turn the page file back on....

Yes, it would hesitate while spinning the drive back up. It is good for conserving laptop battery life.

I don't think it's the problem either, I just wanted to second your suggestion and let SwIeRs know that if anything no pf is slowing things down
