windows vista home premium bit
 
 

error messages

i was on the internet checkin my phone bill on the Virgin Media website when suddenly the conection got disconected. When I reconnected and tred to go to my Documents of when I click on my computer or try to go to control pannel a message comes up saying 'class not registered'



When I click on control Panel this is what is displayed


C;\Windows\System32\ExplorerFrame.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error'


When I click on my Documents this is what is displayed

C\users\Kay\Documentsi
Class not registered.

am am unable to go in my documents or into Control Panel

I recommend a system restore. Go to Start, type System, then click on System Restore (hopefully it comes up...). Follow the instructions to restore your system back to how it was a day or two ago. If that doesn't work then try this:

Click Start and type cmd into the search box, press Enter. Up pops the command prompt. Type in regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\ExplorerFrame.dll and press enter. You might have to reboot; I'd do it anyway.

If that still doesn't fix the problem, I just found this patch from Microsoft:
Error message when you try to start Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista: "You must be an administrator to open Internet Explorer on this desktop"
It's not directly linked to your problem but I found someone who this patch had worked for.
