Added Memory,,, less Index Score

Hi

recently I upgraded from VHP x32 to VHP x64. 2 days ago I added ram, going from 2 x 1gb DDR2 800 to 6gb DDR2 800 (added 2 x 2gb 800).

My system appears to be running ok however my Vista index score has dropped from 5.5 to 5.0 for the memory, My 3D Mark Vantage score is also less than half the previous score

I have the latest bios version installed, memory remapping has been enabled,,,,,, DXDIAG and Si Soft both show that I have 6gb,,,,,

Is there something in the bios I have to adjust to accomodate the extra memory

Any help would be very much appreciated

Thanks
in advance

On my system, when I went to 8GB's my Index Score remained the same, because I'm still running my trusty Core 2 Duo E6600.

Try running it with only 2 x 2g ddr 800. You will probibly not notice a whole lot of difference (depending on what you do) between 4 and 6g. Mis matched RAM might cause you problems in the long run anyway.
