| Vista Business 64 | Vista hibernate itself again after resume Hi folks, got a real annoying problem - searched over inet and found no solution :(( When my Vista resume from hibernate my LCD goes off and i have about two minutes window to move mouse, press key, etc or vista ITSELF goes to hibernate again. Thats really annoying to sit in front of the resuming computer and try to catch that 2mins window every day, when i hibernate. Is a feature or bug? Can it be overcome somehow?.... Ive got Vista 64, all updates, Rad4870, Asus M3A78-EH mobo, 5000+BE, hybrid sleep off. Thanx a lot. |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Vista hibernate itself again after resume Hi guys, Thanks a lot for the advice above, it help me a lot as I had exactly same problem. Could you please clarify just for peace of my mind if the issue is just in Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit and computers with TV tuner ? I have HP HDX 16 with Media Center and TV tuner running Vista Home Premium 64bit. My friend has HP dv5 running Vista Home Premium 32bit and the problem did not appeared to be there, altough the settings in registry are set to 120. Could you please advice the reason why my computer is affected and the dv 5 not ? Thanks a lot for your help and reply Stan |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista hibernate itself again after resume Hello Stan, and welcome to Vista Forums. While I do not know the details of your problem, usually with the Media Center, you may have a issue with the computer waking up when the Multimedia settings - When sharing media - Set to Allow the computer to sleep setting is not used in the Power Plan options. |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Vista hibernate itself again after resume Hi Brink, thanks a lot for ivitation and four your quick response. Basicaly my problem is exactly same as the one which Slahounek sent before on the top of this thread. This means that: When my Vista resume from hibernate my LCD goes off and i have about two minutes window to move mouse, press key, etc or vista ITSELF goes to hibernate again. I fixed the problem by setting the the Regedit Key for the timeout setting for a unattended wakeup from 120 to 600s. And the computer no longer automacialy hibernate within 2 minutes but now with 10 minutes. My only question is why this was happening on my computer which is HP HDX16 ( Vista 64 bit ) and not on my friend's computer who has HP dv5 ( Vista 32 bit ). Both computers have installed Windows Media Center but only HDX one has TV tuner built in and actively used. The settings in registry are same for both laptops. So are there any other settings in Vista which can switch off the Microsoft "feature" called: Timeout for unatended wake up ? If so how can I do this ? ( except by extendig the time as per above ) To answer your question: The Multimedia settings - When sharing media is set to Prevent Iddling to Sleep on both battery and plugged in. I would apreciate if you can get back to me if you will come up with more ideas. Thanks a lot for your reply. Stan |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista hibernate itself again after resume Ah, I see Stan. I'm not sure why the other computer does not have the default 2 minute delay time unless it has been modified by something. The option above to change the default time is the only one to adjust this amount of time though. |
