Vista - Cannot Create Fax Account

Hia All.
I am unable to find anything resembling a Fax Account setup on my Windows Vista Home Premium machine.

I have search the Web extensively to try and resolve this issue, but have had no luck.

Everybody says you need to go to "Scan and Fax", under All Programs. My problem is that I have no such menu option anywhere.

Can you please help me out.

The scan and fax feature might not be installed. To check for this go to Start > Control Panel > on the left click on Classic View > Programs and Features icon > on the left there is a Turn of/off windows features > Scroll down the list and see if WIndows Fax and Scan is checked. If not checked then check it and click OK. You will probably be prompted for your vista DVD to copy files.

Hi rajinisback,
I'm afraid I've already tried that and there's nothing resembling Fax or Fax services in the Add/Remove Windows Features section...Unless I'm missing something.

Windows Fax & Scan is only available on Vista Business and Ultimate Editions I'm afraid.
Yes I know - it was part of XP so why not all Vista editions? I don't have an answer for you but you are going to have to do a Google search for free or cheap Fax software in order to use it in your machine.
