| Member | Deleting program files and keeping program files x86? Hi, I have Windows Vista Ultimate x64, and it came with 2 set of program files: program files, and program files x86. Since my hard drive is only 100 gigs, I was wondering if I could delete the normal program files and keep the x86 ones, or would that cause problems? |

Hi Lightstalker and welcome to the forums ![]() The 64-bit version of Vista has 2 program files folders - one is for 32-bit programs (x86) and the other is for 64-bit programs. These folders are system folders and should NOT be deleted otherwise severe OS problems will result which will need the reinstallation or repair of Vista to correct. Dwarf |
