Administrator Problem

Hello all.

A while ago I downloaded a trial version of Windows Live Manager. I did some tweaking and now for some reason, when I try to close Control Panel, Computer and other such things, I get a message that says, "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." I then have to go to the task manager to close these things.

The trial has ended and I have no idea as to how to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums.

Are you able to open Control Panel and go to Programs and Features and choose Windows Live Messenger from the list to uninstall it? Can you give us examples of these "tweaks" that were done?

Hi Raj. I'm a bit slow and meant that I downloaded a program called Vista Manager where I made some tweaks. I changed some of the start up things, but can't remember all of what I changed.
