| Newbie | .bat powerdown code Does anyone know the .bat "Powerdown" code for vista? I know the shutdown code, but uppon activation, i want the program to just immediately turn off the computer, not log out and shut down vista. what is the code and would such a program cause any problems? |

| Administrator | Re: .bat powerdown code Hi ReconToaster, and welcome to Vista Forums. I would not recommend that option. It will cause a improper shutdown screen at the next bootup and can cause hard drive corruption with data loss of anything you had running at the time of killing the power. The best option is to use the default shutdown option of letting it logoff first, then shutdown power. Shutdown shortcut If you are just wanting it to shutdown quicker, then this is a safe method to use instead. Shutdown Hope this helps, Shawn |
