| Vista Home premium 64 | Problem in installation! I have OEM version of windows vista 64 home premium. Installation goes normally but when computer reboots first time it shows an error message. Repair doesnot work, have formatted harddrive and tried to instal it couple of times but it still shows error. Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. File: \windows\system32\drivers\volsnap.sys status:0xc0000221 Info: Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt. Lots of thanks in advance. |

| VISTA HOME PREMIUM X64/ 7 x64 / 7x86 | Re: Problem in installation! Hi, When you say repair does not work, have you tried renaming the corrupt driver and extracting it from your installation dvd ? This link shows how it's done - it's for xp but it will probably work just as well - it's worth a try , just click on : A Stop: 0xc000026C or Stop: 0xc0000221 "Unable to Load Device Driver" Error Occurs When You Start Windows XP SIW2 |
