Lock my desktop icons? Vista x64

How can I lock my desktop icons? I tried Icon Restore but the menu to Save desktop icons wasn't available. Anyone got any programs?

Hi dmak,

If you mean to keep your icons on the desktop then right click on the desktop and highlight 'View' from the menu that appears. In the options that appear, make sure that you have a tick next to each of the following items: 'Auto Arrange', 'Align to Grid' and 'Show Desktop Icons'. The other option in this section concerns the icon size and is set to 'Medium Icons' by default, although you can choose 'Large Icons' or 'Classic Icons' if you wish.

Hi dmak,

See if the following link to an article from the 'Windows Vista Magazine' website helps.
