Windows host process Rundll32 message keeps popping up. Please Help.

I keep getting this "Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working." message. Few days back I installed Call of Duty 4 on my laptop running Vista HP. It was then I started noticing this annoying popup message. I am not sure if CoD4 is responsible for this, but this message now pops up for no reason sometimes. It can come up while starting an application, transferring files to storage cards, copying files within HDD, playing movies. I dont know why it comes, but would like to know if there is any solution for this. Please help.
