HDTV or LCD Monitor?

is it worth purchasing a HDTV to be used as a PC monitor?

Hello.

I'm very happy with my setup.

1, 22" DVI @ 1680x1050
1, 47" HDMI @ 1920x1080

I would not want to view it any other way!
I have a 9600GT video card that has 1 true HDMI out and it's amazing.
I would go the extra expense to go that way again.

That is one of those

"how long is a piece of string" questions LOL

really it depends on a few things, what is the price and availability for you with regard to regular PC monitors versus a HDTV and what you intend to use it for.

well, its still is the planning stages. i might get one i might not. not sure though, just wanted to get the opinion of this great community. i will be getting a 360 or a ps3 soon. so i was thinking, if i had a HDTV i could have the console working on AV1 and use it as a monitor on AV2. if anyone of you are using an HDTV do u mind posting a snapshot of it? just wasnt to c how it looks. thanks......

for me, i like lcd. but make sure that your lcd is HDCP compatible in order to use xbox or ps3 using HDMI cable or HDMI converter via DVI.:D
