Hey, I'm building a new PC (my first one in awhile) and I just bought a copy of Vista Premium 64-bit OEM.

As I read the back of the package, it says that I need to have a special OPK Kit on my hard drive to install it...uh oh..

- "Each individual software license inside this package may ONLY be distributed with a fully assembled computer system."

- "If the individual software license is for a desktop operating system or application software, it also must be preinstalled on the hard drive of the fully assembled computer system, using the OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK)."

Apparently you need to be Microsoft Partner or whatever.....did I mess up???

Will I even be able to install this OEM on my new PC?

Please help me out,
Joey

Yes, I bought an OEM copy of Home Premium x64 too, if you have a key, you will be able to install it.

Yes, you will be able to install it. I always go OEM with new builds since it is far cheaper. Just know that you won't get any support from Microsoft and you once you install it on a system you cannot move it.
