login help

I have vista and when I go to log on it tells me that my "user profile service" service cannot be found. Just before this happened I was in the start up menu trying to speed up my puter. I think i unchecked something I shouldn't have. Now I only have guest access and can't change anything. Also in the f8 menu on startup I don't have a repair computer option that I have been told to look for. My puter is all but useless to me and I am close too smashing it NO KIDDING!!!!!!! Please help!!

I have tried the safe mode boot and it works but still wont let me make the changes to my administrator account. I am not computer savvy and I think I am making matters worse.Is it at all possible to let someone hack into my puter to see if they could fix it? I don't think they could ruin it any more than it all ready is. At this time I can't really afford to have a Computer store look at it besides they don't give a refund if they can't help. Can you?

See if you can do a System Restore from boot using a restore point dated before this problem. Option Two in this tutorial will help show you how to if needed.
