Rollover effects

Is there any way to get rid of that effect on the desktop icons when you roll the mouse over them that box that shows up around the icon?

That box shows up every time I move the mouse over an icon. I just think it's kind of annoying is all.

Hi JTik,

Sorry, but no there is no way to turn that off.

That is the highlight feature built into Vista.

Re: Rollover effects

Yea. I see what you mean now. I think if you set your theme to Windows Classic that will turn it off. I use Windows Classic theme at home and never see that. Brink what you think?

Re: Rollover effects

Raj,

Yes, that would work. It will get rid of that transparent box around the icon when highlighted, and instead just the icon will be shaded blue without the box around it when highlighted. However, you would not have the nice Aero effect then.
