x32 is not the correct term in this case it is x86 which is the 32 bit OS and x64 is the 64 bit OS as far as i know you can't upgrade from 32 to 64 without doing a clean install of the x64 OS

In addition to Gazz's post, this post will help explain the differences between 64 bit (X64) and 32 bit (X86) Vista.

    Well, last question.
How much Memory RAM does 32 Bits version supports?
    And what about 64 Bits?

Which would you consider Best for Asus G2s:

2.20 GHz Core 2 Duo T7500 (Santa Rosa)
    3 GB RAM
    300 GB HD (4200 RPM)
GEFORCE 8600m GT 256 mb Nvidea
    17" Generic PnP

    Alex,

32 bit can see and use up to 3.2 GB.
64 bit can see and use up to 16,000,000 GB of RAM.

I would use 64 bit over 32 bit any day if all of your devices have 64 bit driver versions for them.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

That of course depends on the motherboard specification of how much ram is supported.

Hello AlexRD, welcome to Vista forums!

They are both x86 architecture, i.e. x86-64(bit) & x86-32(bit) see the link below.

True Ted, but it is common for 32 bit to be also referred as x86, where the 64 bit is sometimes referred to as x64.
