Yes... i tried every "custom" method....

Such as removing the USB stick, Deleting all the files, and enabling auto-play.

you should be able to disable it in the services.
goto ( Control Panel\Administrative Tools\services)
look down the list for ReadyBoost and disable it from
there.

It's not actually solved  I thought that would work, but... I don't want to lose any programs.... and some files.

Hi Eldron,
Since you do not remember the password, your options are very limited. Using the boot DVD from Method Three in that reset link is the only easy option other than doing a clean reinstall of Vista. Anything else would involve having to take it to a professional and lots of money.
It's your choice, but if you are just worried about Method Three, it is safe and will only reset the password back to a blank one again so you can gain access to your administrator account.
Eldron,

Method Three shows you how to create a boot DVD with a editor tool that clears the password at boot. It is not the one from Method Two that you had to create (backup) at a earlier point. Method Three (Editor Tool) should do what you are wanting so you can gain access to your administrator account. Sorry for any confusion about this.

I thought that would work, but... I don't want to lose any programs.... and some files.

Since you're locked out, maybe we let someone else do the thinking? I vote for Brink... what say you?

O.K.! Brink it is.... now go follow the directions.

As for the stick, when you put it in another machine you'll have to re-enable ReadyBoost, AFAIK. I don't use it.

Re: Can't disable ReadyBoost!!! PLEASE HELP ME! (Still not solved)

Since you mention another laptop, the easy way would simply be to stick it in the other laptop and format the stick.

eldron, try to download "Linux rescue kit" (Unlock administrator password)
Downloading Trinity Rescue Kit 3.2 build 279 from Tuxinator

The best guide I can give you, is this clip.
Hack Windows Vista!

Afterwards, give these 2 guides a look: (ReadyBoost and UAC)

The more user friendly computer, will probably stop attacks like this.

But I'm not sure what work, they have done on this office doc.
