I can't open that SYSTEMRESTORE.doc either, so I have no idea what the problem is. I guess that's why calabrache didn't get any helpful replies.

I save the doc file to HD and it opened OK from there. It is just a bunch of screenshots of the error messages and screen prints of some C:/ readouts. Basically same error I guess we are all getting and this attached error message.
I have snapshot Rx installed so that covers me for restore points and for a complete backup, but I would like to get this problem fixed. Note you should turn off the system restore, otherwise each day it trys to make a resotre point and that takes up a bunch of CPU's for 2-3 mins

The message "Insufficient storage available..." suggests you either need more free space available on the C: drive or (more likely) probably the amount of disk space allocated to system restore is too small. This tutorial tells you how to change the setting for "maximum system restore size":

I wish it was that easy! No, I have played around with this and currently have 70 Gb Max size and 0 in use and 0 allocated. This is a bigger problem, as more than one (from the news groups and other forums) has this problem. I have heaps of room on HD. No obvious solution yet. I have a suspicion that a Windows update broke this, the fact that a bunch start reporting the problem.
