[Resolved] Hide Instant Search

Hello everyone,

I am running Vista Ultimate 32 with SP1.

If someone could tell me how completely hide/remove/disable the Instant Search (a.k.a Windows Search) feature found on the lower left of Vista's Start Menu, I would be most grateful! The idea is to remove this feature for public access computers (kiosks).

I would appreaciate any type of solution including programatic solutions, such as the use of APIs, WMI scripting, or policy solutions that can be plugged in as registry entries. I am aware that you can force the use of the Classic Start Menu through policy that would "sort of" solve the problem, but my true goal is to remove or disable the feature, entirely, while leaving the Vista Menu running.

I have searched through a lot of local policy entries, but none seem to work on SP1. Please help me, if you can.

Many thanks,

Rand
