Ok Im having a problem with my computer... I get this error like 4 times every time I open up windows. i can't open any games or anything like that... please help me! Thx KWard

A little search turned this up, other then this Im not sure what to tell you.


What Is Rundll32.exe?
Rundll32.exe is an important process of your windows operating system. The process rundll32.exe executes dll files and puts their libraries into your system's memory. Without this process your computer would become instable and very slow.
The process runs from your system directory C:\windows\system32. If it executes or runs from a different location it is most likely a virus or trojan horse. Fix Rundll32.exe

Locate a Copy of Rundll32.exe on Your System

Check if you find a copy of rundll32.exe in the folder C:\windows\system32\dllcache or in C:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386. If this is the case, go ahead and copy rundll32.exe to the system folder C:\windows\system32
If you don't find a copy on your system, you can try to find the file on your windows installation disks. Lastly, you could simply re-install windows. However, this would be very time-consuming and you might lose all your data. So this would be the last resort.

Niether of these helped... This thing is still showing up... ANy other ideas?

Find another user running the same OS as you and copy dll's?

Not sure if this will work or not.

Another idea is that the problem may not be from rundll32 at all, it may be another program in your startup items that is causing it to crash, why not open up your startup items and disable any programs that you installed around the time it started happening?

Any recently updated drivers or new software before this started happening? Also, did you uninstall anything? Some set-ups will skip installing a .dll if another program has put it in; however, if you remove that other program, those .dlls will come with.
