User profile not loaded correctly

Hi,
I am having a complete nightmare with my laptop. I use vista home premium, when I logged on yesterday evening I got an error message come up saying 'your user profile was not loaded correctly! You have been logged on with the default profile for the system. Please see the event log for details or contact your administrator.'

I have searched on about 10 forums (including trying the tutorials on here...) for this and know that a lot of people have had this problem but I can't seem to fix it...

I have now got to the stage where I have deleted my original administator profile (thinking it would be ok as I had another administrator password set up...) I have also loaded the 'hidden' administrator account, but they all come up with this user profile not loaded correctly error... and now I can't set up a new account, when I try to access control panel, the explorer box outline is shown but then nothing happens, if I access the control panel through the c:\ drive I can get into user accounts but when I click on create new user nothing happens.

Can anyone help me.. I have no idea what to do!! :confused:
