| VIsta Home Premium 64 bit | Vista Home premium Freezes and the sound stutters. Hi there, I just built a new system, its a 2.6 quad core with 4 gigs of ram and 2 diamond raidon hd 4850's running crossfire. Its still a relativly clean install and when I play videos or play my video games the screen stops, the sound keeps stuttering, and I lose control of my mouse and keyboard. I then have to hard reboot my sytem to bring it back up. I am at a loss, I cant seem to track down the cause. I would Appreciate your input. Thanks, Obtenpander |

| Vista Ultimate 64 bit | Re: Vista Home premium Freezes and the sound stutters. It sounds like over heat. Try open case with house fan blows at it and see if better. If not. check if all bios and drivers are up to date. Next, check power supply and memory. Then check for bad contacts at all connectors especially for SATA bad contacts or bad cables. Good luck and let us know how things turn out and then we go from there. |

| VIsta Home Premium 64 bit | Re: Vista Home premium Freezes and the sound stutters. Hello again, I am a little confused about my issues I was playing a game (spore) for 10 hours yesterday, and not one crash. So it dosent seem to be an overheating issue. I am starting to think the issues is realated to video codec, and windows media player..... As it seems to crash mostly while watching videos, but never with a flash player. Anythoughts? |
