Solved C drive labelled as "not configured"

Hey, I've had an odd annoying problem for a while now with explorer... it's probably something in the registry but i don't know what. Anyways, here's a screenshot.

I've searched Google far and wide but found nothing.

Yup, and those didn't work either. SFC annoyed me since I now need to repatch uxtheme.dll & friends and it also reset my logon picture.

I'm sure it's something in the registry. I don't really care too much since I'll be reinstalling everything on my computer once (ubuntu) intrepid comes out, or when i feel like it since i might switch distros.

Jordoex, the only other thing I can think of is to check the BIOS and CMOS settings and cables for the C: drive to make sure that they are set and connected properly. Most likely, it may be a BIOS setting off.

Well, I figured it out... and now I feel stupid. Somehow an autorun.inf with everything set to "not configured" got into the root of my c:; I found it cuz i needed to clean a bunch of stuff onto my portable hard drive and i often use the root folder as a dumping ground for stuff. I removed it and voila! it fixed it.

Maybe you can add that as an extra method to change the name and icon of hard drives. It would work really well for portable hard drives.

Anyways, i just chucked the old file into a different folder and for your amusement, here it is:
