Solved Some questions about x64

Why do i have two Program Files folder?

I have Program Files, and Program Files x86..

Oh, and when i maximize any window, my transparency goes away and it appears vista basic, but if i minimize i have the window transparency again...

And why do i have that symbol of Take Ownership in front of some programs??

Vista 64 bit can run both 32 bit and 64 bit programs. The C:\Program Files folder is for installed 64 bit programs, and the C:\Program Files (x86) folder is for 32 bit programs.

This is normal in both the 32 bit and 64 bit Vista when a window is opened to full screen. For the 32 bit Vista, you can use the latest 1.1 beta 3 version of the free program VistaGlazz to have your Maximize window transparent with the Vista SP1 installed.

If you mean the shield overlay icon, then this means that that program will require UAC permission first to be allowed to run.

Sorry, they will still not go away even with UAC turned off.

I would recommend leaving UAC turned on though for better security.

UAC scares the crap out of me, i was on the computer ( 4 am ) then that @#$% UAC sound plays, really loud lol...

I patched the Computer files first, then Pa, Uxtheme error keeps appearing, so i patched the uxtheme, x10 Uxtheme Errors, so i turned the computer on, when i turned my computer on, it would stay on welcome screen, and would`nt load explorer nor Uxtheme.dll ... I did a system restore, by the CD. Now i am here again ..

Any solutions to that problem?

I'm with Brink, leave UAC enabled, especially if you're running as an administrator.

I believe you can turn the sound off for the UAC dialog, but I'm in OS X at the moment so I can't double check :P

One little question, are there 8 gb Ram ddr2 for notebook?
And which one is a good coolpad?
and in the forums, am i able to announce websites? ( Like one that my brother did ).

Well, Vista Glazz is still in beta, so there probably are a few bugs left in it. You might report yours to them to see if they can fix it in the next version release. There is no other way to make maximized windows transparent that I know of though.


SgtBaxter is correct. You can change the Windows User Account Control sound to none or some other sound file you like instead from the Sound window.

Hey, the problem happened because you passed a link from Vista Glazz that is for not for SP1, i downloaded one with SP1 Compatibility and it worked =)

I don't think it's a good idea to recommend VistaGlazz to people. At least it would be better to always include a warning whenever you mention it, about setting a restore point and/or saving backup copies of the original system files which VistaGlazz replaces with hacked versions.

That link that you posted is, vista glazz for no SP1. The title is Vista SP1 because they were thinking on releasing it.

The one for Vista SP1 is 300 KB
The One for Vista SP(NONE) is 1 MB.:huh:
