| Vista Home Premium 32bit. | Task manager, registry edit and command promt disabled My task manager, registry edit and command promt was all disabled by administrator, But I am using an administrator ID(only ID on my PC). I tried to get some enable programme online, but after download can't run(double click and no respond). I scanned my PC with updated anti-Virus programe and window defender found no problem. Could someone help me on this topic? I am using Vista home premium. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Task manager, registry edit and command promt disabled Hello Chew, A System Restore would probably be faster and easier to do to fix this as SIW2 suggested since both the command prompt and regedit have been disabled. If for some reason that does not fix the problem, then you can use these tutorials in this order to enable them again. Registry Editor: In Safe Mode with Command Prompt use Method Three in this tutorial: Regedit - Enable or Disable Task Manager: Task Manager - Enable or Disable Command Prompt: Command Prompt - Enable or Disable Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Vista Ultimate 32-bit | Re: Task manager, registry edit and command promt disabled This sort of thing is usually a problem with viruses/trojans/spyware or other malware. Also try these free programs to rid your system of spyware, trojans, and other malware: Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.2 - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com Spybot - Search & Destroy Ad-Aware 2008 - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com LavaSoft Ad-aware I use BOTH of the above programs on my 3 Windows systems; what one program misses, the other catches. Also make sure to download the most up-to-date data before you run the programs. Another very good freeware program for ridding yourself of spyware is this: SUPERAntiSpyware.com - AntiAdware, AntiSpyware, AntiMalware! SuperAntiSpyware |
