Communication between win32 applications on win64

Hi,
I am trying to run 2 win32 applications on vista x64, they both run perfectly so thats not a problem... However one of the applications calls libraries in the other running application and it fails everytime! I think I read somewhere that win32 programs each get their own wow environment so wondering if thats why they cannot see each other and is there a way around this?

Can both apps be run in the same sandbox?

The programs are MediaMonkey and a custom app called SansaMonkey - sansa monkey uses the scripting engine within MediaMonkey and if media monkey is not open it fails - this works perfectly in vista 32 but not in 64 and I am assuming it is to with how the win32 apps are boxed up when running?

I tried to set this up in my virutal pc (xp using virtualbox) but when I try setting up the virtualbox USB driver to see my sansa e200 player it blue screens my host each time which seems to be a known problem!

Would be nice to find a work around, anyone any suggestions?

Can more than 1 win32 app be started within the same sandbox and if so how?

Jeremy.
