| Vista Home Basic 32bit | Screensaver Never Turns ON Hello, I have tried repeatedly to fix my screensaver. It will not even turn on manually by clicking preview. All I get is a black screen for a few seconds and then back to the display options. I have tried different screen savers and none of them work. Thanks!!! |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Screensaver Never Turns ON Hello Kiera, and welcome to Vista Forums. Sometimes a wireless mouse or keyboard can cause this problem. For more on this, see: Microsoft Help and Support: KB911895 and Microsoft Help and Support: KB913405 Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Vista Home Basic 32bit | Re: Screensaver Never Turns ON Thank you Brink for your helpful hint. I have a Dell Inspiron, Vista Home Basic with no extras except Microsoft Office Student Edition. My internet connection is wireless but that is it. Thanks! |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Screensaver Never Turns ON Kiera, It sounds like it may be entering the screen saver, then a mouse movement or a keyboard key press causes the screen saver to turn off. You might check for a possible sticky key that's partly pressed down. If you have a touchpad, it may be set to sensitive. Other than that, you might try reinstalling your mouse and keyboard drivers if applicable. |

| Vista Home Basic 32bit | Re: Screensaver Never Turns ON I double checked my keypad. All seems to be in excellent shape. Nothing appears dysfunctional, definitely not sticky. I wouldn't know how to reinstall my mouse and keyboard drivers since they were already installed when I received my computer. I don't think I received a CD for them in my kit. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Screensaver Never Turns ON You can check at this driver link from Dell to see if they have any available for your Inspiron model number. Once you get to the download page, it may be under input devices. You might also check by reinstalling your video driver as well. It can cause this sort of thing to if it got corrupted.
