Deleting Welcome Center Links

Apologies if this has already been covered but I did a quick search and didn't turn anything up, likewise if this isn't the correct place for the query as it's my first post and all. Anyway. I've just bought a laptop from Hewlett-Packard for doing low level work but its come with a bunch of pre-installed stuff that I don't want that I'm slowly working through and trying to get rid of.

When the Welcome Center window comes up on first starting the laptop its got the regular 'Get started with Windows' links but also has five links that HP seem to have added themselves. How do I go about deleting these links?

Now I'm not that technically knowledgeable about computers and I'm brand new to Vista so if anyone would be able to tell me in detail how I can get rid of them I'd be very grateful. Thanks.

Mike

Edit: Tried searching again and this time it seems to have worked for some reason. Must have been a slightly different word combination or something.

So I used notepad to open the oobe.xml file and this is what I found inside it.

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<FirstExperience>
<oobe>
<defaults>
<language>1033</language>
<location>242</location>
<locale>2057</locale>
<keyboard>0809:00000809</keyboard>
<timezone>GMT Standard Time</timezone>
</defaults>
<oem><eulafilename>eula.rtf</eulafilename>
<name>Hewlett-Packard</name><logopath>C:\ProgramData\Hewlett-Packard\images\hp_logo_200x100.png</logopath><wallpaper><path>C:\windows\web\wallpaper\HPRadiance.jpg</path></wallpaper><wallpaper><path>C:\windows\web\wallpaper\HPWave.jpg</path></wallpaper><wallpaper><path>C:\windows\web\wallpaper\HPSplash.jpg</path></wallpaper></oem></oobe>
<useroobe><oemLogo xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/windows...Logo><oemStrip xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/windows...rSource>Offers from HP</offerSource></oemStrip></useroobe></FirstExperience>
So what bits do I have to delete the get rid of the HP links and stuff? I'm just a little cautious about doing anything myself first in case I delet something important and it seriously buggers things up
