Windows Explorer Column Headings

Hi,

Under Win XP I was able to:
1. Alter any file or document property.
2. Add a column heading with that property to the folder containing that file.
3. See the list of files on that folder showing that property value under the respective column heading.

With pdf files I'm not able to do that in Vista anymore.
Right clicking a pdf file and opening the properties window, there is no place where I can add text like a comment or subject.
Using Acrobat and editing the properties for that pdf file, for instance adding some text to the subject field, the text typed will not show under the column subject in explorer's folder; it seems that adobe property fields and those shown in explorer views are not the same.

am I missing something?
